The sun setting by Jarryd's house.

I've just gotten off work, rode the night bus home, and enjoyed a lovely conversation with my bus driver.
Now it's time to make tuna, egg and veggies with rice for dinner.

Winter has been a little kinder these past few weeks. Almost a whole week of sunshine! Though the air is still chilly, making my craving for lemon honey tea or hot chocolate a daily occurrence. Cherry blossoms are scattered like gems and I really want to find a park filled with them so I can pick a branch to take home.

I've decided it's a lot easier for me to post one photo with a comment attached rather then ten that I've rushed to put together, that will no doubt take me weeks to post.

I hope you are rugged up warm and looking forward to spring as much as I am. xo

My package arrived! I squealed when I saw the glitter wrapped parcel,  knowing what it was and all too excited to release the treasures that lay within.

This was my first time purchasing someone's artwork. The package came from Jessica Naomi, a blogger and craft guru whose writings, illustrations, clothes and lifestyle I truly admire.
The simple act of providing funds for a persons future work was rewarding in itself.

After tearing through glittery tissue paper and purple cellophane, I spent hours looking through these gorgeous sketch books and art pieces. Reading poems and love notes. A complementary necklace (free of charge), made from bamboo wool crochet around a stone found on the north shore of New York.

There's still a lot here that I haven't properly gone through yet but it's safe to say I'm really pleased with what I received, and look forward to purchasing more artwork in the future.

rainy days and reading.

A wet grey cloud hangs above my door step and waters the garden. The winter air chills my bones, so I feel as if most of these weeks have been spent cuddled up inside my room where it is toasty warm, drinking lemon, ginger and honey tea.

The two top photographs were taken during my midnight stroll with Jarryd, after we'd gorged ourselves silly on chilly chicken burgers and chips.
His mum has kindly lent me three books with fairy tales stories from England, Ireland and Japan. The illustrations are simply enchanting!
